# Wi-Fi troubleshooting

## Quick fixes

Try these first:

1. Move the Pod closer to your Wi-Fi router.
2. Check the Wi-Fi password. Passwords are case-sensitive.
3. Restart the Pod and try the setup again.

## Common questions

#### What happens if I enter the wrong Wi-Fi password?

The Pod stops trying to connect and shows a failed status. Repeat the setup process with the correct password, using the [Parent App](/wifi-setup-app) or the [Pod hotspot](/wifi-device-hotspot).

#### What happens if the Wi-Fi connection drops later?

The Pod scans for its saved Wi-Fi networks again. If it can't reconnect, it turns its hotspot back on (LEDs turn **blue**) so you can fix the connection.

#### Does the Pod keep checking for Wi-Fi when it isn't connected?

Yes. At first it checks about every 30 seconds. Over time it slows down to about every 15 minutes.

#### I can't see the MYWONDER network on my phone

Make sure the hotspot is on: press and hold the left button for 5 seconds until the LED eyes turn blue. The hotspot turns off automatically about 2 minutes after a successful connection, so turn it on again if needed.

#### AI conversations are slow or take a long time to start

Talking Cards need a strong connection because conversations happen live. Move the Pod closer to your router or use a less busy network. See [Talking Cards](/talking-cards#what-happens-if-the-connection-is-slow).
