  3. Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions.

  4. Select your home Wi-Fi network.

  5. Enter your Wi-Fi password.

  6. Wait for confirmation that your WonderPod is connected.

Your device will now remember this Wi-Fi network for future use.

If you prefer, you can set up Wi-Fi using the WonderPod’s built-in hotspot.

Once connected successfully:

  • The Wi-Fi information is saved.

  • The hotspot turns off automatically after about 2 minutes.

Method 3: Connect WonderPod to Your Phone’s Hotspot

You can connect WonderPod to a mobile hotspot.

Important:

Most phones automatically turn OFF their Wi-Fi connection when you enable a hotspot. This means you cannot use the same phone (that is providing the hotspot) to configure the WonderPod.

You will need:

  • Another phone, tablet, or laptop to complete setup

    OR

  • Set your phone hotspot name and password to match MyWonder’s built-in Wi-Fi credentials (explained below).

Option A: If You Have Another Device Available

  1. Turn ON hotspot on your primary phone.

  2. Turn ON the WonderPod hotspot by pressing and holding the left button for 3 seconds.

    • The LED eyes will turn blue.

  3. On the second device (not the phone providing the hotspot), connect to the WonderPod Wi-Fi.

  4. Open a browser and go to: http://192.168.10.10

  5. Tap “Scan Networks”.

  6. Select your phone’s hotspot from the list.

  7. Enter the hotspot password and connect.

If successful:

  • The device will blink green.

  • Then the LEDs will turn white.

  • This means the WonderPod is connected to your phone hotspot.

Option B: Set Your Phone Hotspot to Auto-Connect (Recommended for Travel)

You can configure your phone hotspot with the following details:

SSID (Network Name): mywonder

Password: wonderfulworld

If your phone hotspot matches these credentials, the WonderPod will automatically connect when the hotspot is turned on.

How WonderPod Connects to Wi-Fi

How does the device connect?

  • The device first looks for Wi-Fi networks it already remembers.

  • If it finds one nearby, it tries to connect automatically.

What if it doesn’t remember any Wi-Fi?

  • It creates its own Wi-Fi hotspot so you can set it up.

How many Wi-Fi networks can it remember?

  • Up to 15 Wi-Fi names and passwords.

Which saved Wi-Fi does it pick?

  • It connects to the strongest available signal.

Troubleshooting

What if the Wi-Fi password is wrong?

  • The device stops trying.

  • It shows a failed status.

  • You can repeat the setup process and try again.

What if the Wi-Fi connection is lost later?

  • The device scans for saved Wi-Fi networks again.

  • If it cannot reconnect, it turns the hotspot back on so you can fix it.

Does it keep checking for Wi-Fi if not connected?

Yes.

  • It checks frequently (about every 30 seconds at first).

  • Over time, it slows down to checking about every 15 minutes.

Can I Disconnect the Device from Wi-Fi?

You cannot manually disconnect the WonderPod from Wi-Fi.

MyWonder is primarily a connected device and requires Wi-Fi for full functionality.

However, some features (such as playing audio that is already downloaded) can still work without Wi-Fi.

Hotspot and Normal Mode

  • Once connected to your home Wi-Fi, the device switches to normal Wi-Fi-only mode.

  • It does not stay in hotspot mode.

  • To turn the hotspot ON again:

    • Press and hold the left button for 5 seconds.

    • The LED eyes will turn blue.

If you are still having trouble connecting, move the device closer to your Wi-Fi router and make sure the password is entered correctly (Wi-Fi passwords are case-sensitive).
